Do I need to keep a pet journal?

No. There is no diary to maintain, and no daily homework. Talk when there is something to say. Pawisper keeps the useful continuity.

What if I don't use Pawisper for a few weeks?

Nothing is due. When you come back, Pawisper can still use what you already shared. Time alone is not a notification; a later note can connect to an earlier one if it still matters.

What should I tell Pawisper?

A habit, a small change, or a moment that mattered — where they sleep, who they hide from, what they do when you leave. Questions are welcome too; they are not stored as if you observed them.

Routines, preferences, places, behaviors, meaningful moments, changes you describe, and corrections you made. It keeps what you tell it — not a perfect record of every chat.

What gets better the longer I use it?

First it can remember a moment you just shared. As history grows, it has more context to recognize what keeps coming up, what used to be true, what may be changing, and which moments are worth bringing back — only when the notes support it. If you ever pay later, it would be to keep more of that history usable, not to unlock the first remembered moment.

Yes. Your profile, media, and Stories stay private by default. You choose what ever leaves Pawisper. Public sharing is not on.
